Jose is a talented bushcraft instructor who has been working in the industry for a number of years now and has joined the Hands on Bushcraft team in 2017. Jose’ grew up in South Africa where as child he enjoyed camping, hiking and being out in nature, he eventually went on to join the South African army which added to his knowledge bushcraft/survival and enthusiasm of nature.

jose-teaching-about-plant-identificationHe eventually made it over to the UK and now resides in a lovely Cotswold town in Gloucestershire with his wife and 2 children. In 2010 he attended a number of bushcraft and survival courses, which rekindled his love for the great outdoors. Shortly afterwards he undertook a 2½ year apprenticeship to become a bushcraft instructor and has never looked back since.

Jose’ has the following qualifications:

  • Fully CRB cleared (DBS)
  • Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene Certificate
  • Remote Emergency Care Level 2 First Aid trained.
