We finish the afternoon with a session on fire lighting. Our instructors will teach you the fundamentals of fire lighting, starting with collecting the initial tinder, moving on to various firewood stages and finally methods to start your fire. Your first task will be to clear the ground making sure you have a safe area to ignite you fire. You will then get a chance to experiment with various types of natural and man made tinders and discover which methods of ignition are most suited to the types of tinder you have selected.
